BROUGHTON HALL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY – North Yorkshire
POLLY + MARK
SATURDAY, 29TH APRIL 2017
WHAT A WEDDING!! It seems like forever that I’ve been waiting to shoot a wedding at Broughton Hall and then BOOM…Polly + Mark popped in to meet me! These two are great together and sooooo lovely, I just knew it was going to be a wedding to remember! Rebecca (Polly’s Mum) is owner and the creative force behind Pop-UP Weddings so I knew it would be a belter. If you’re planning your wedding and need someone with the know how…Rebecca’s your woman!
It seemed like a LOooooooNG wait but by God was it worth it! The day started and finished at Eden, a huge house nestled on the estate. Polly + Mark hired it for the whole weekend and made it their party central. A marquee was placed on the lawn in front of the house, complete with dance floor, bar and a panoramic window to make the most of THAT VIEW! The stage was set! Polly, her sisters, her Mum and her girls were busy prepping and being made show stoppingly glamorous by the girls from Crossgates Beauty.
At 12 o’clock the bridal party made their way to the church in the nearby village of Gargrave. The ceremony was beautiful and they exited to a sky filled with confetti and jumped in the waiting car. We stopped in the grounds of Broughton Hall for couple shots, this gave Polly + Mark some quiet time and time to take it all in and also gave their guests chance to head back to Eden. I was like a meerkat, honestly, so many different backdrops and quirky corners to explore. It really is beautiful and my new favourite venue!
Mark + Polly enjoyed the canapés and fizz on offer and chatted to their friends and family. The atmosphere was so relaxed and fun and the weather just made it all perfect. A bit of a sneaky wind but it stayed dry all day long. GFS Catering served up a delicious wedding breakfast and the speeches were read. Jess, Rebecca, Mark and Ben did a great job. There were a few tears spotted across that room and lots of laughter to go with it. I knocked a glass of prosecco over Mark’s trousers…YEP that actually happened. CRINGE. He was super chilled about it though…sorry Mark!
When everyone had been fed and watered and the speeches read it was time to party. Bridesmaids and ushers stood in each corner of the dance floor with confetti cones ready for the couples first dance. Some mighty impressive shapes were thrown on that dance floor and the night was just beginning.
Polly and Mark. Your day was everything a couple could dream of and you are a dream couple to work with! Massive congratulations to you both! Thank you so much for having me with you and I wish you all the love in the world.
