Is the whole wedding photography process baffling you? To help answer some questions you might have I’ve put a list together in a bid to ease your mind and explain as much of the process as I can. WE WANT TO BOOK YOU! WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Well, after we have done a little celebratory high five (another thing checked off the TO-DO list!) I’ll send over a booking information form for you to fill in dates, location, times, where you’ll be getting ready before the wedding, your VIP’s etc. An invoice and a client contract with all the information on how to secure your date with a £200 booking fee will be sent over. We can do this electronically over email or if you’d prefer to come meet me in Skipton then head on over! Let’s get you pencilled in!!!
Once the deposit is transferred and contract is signed then your date is secure. WE can pencil in a date to meet up at your venue. If your venue is further afield and its not possible to schedule a visit in my diary then we can talk through your details over the phone or over a video call. We will have a run through your timings and I’ll begin to create your timeline. This will help me begin to plan a little itinerary for myself so I know exactly where I need to be and at what time on the day.
WHEN DO WE NEED TO PAY?
I ask for a booking fee of £200, which is deducted from the total package price. The booking fee saves your wedding date and ensures I am exclusively your photographer for the day and will not take any further bookings. The remainder of the package balance is due one month prior to your wedding. I currently accept cash and bank transfer, although a bank transfer is preferred.
For weddings 20 miles in and around my base in Skipton there is no charge. If your wedding is further afield then there is a charge of 45p per mile over the 20 mile radius from BD23 1NL. If your day is a two hour drive away I would usually stay over in a hotel to avoid driving home tired and I’ll cover this cost of this.
WHAT IS A PRE-WEDDING SHOOT AND WHAT HAPPENS?
The engagement shoot I offer is additional to my wedding package. This is a fun and relaxed session where you can get used to being in front of the camera and get used to working with me – a bit of a trial run for your wedding day. It’s a great opportunity for us to have some fun and get to know each other before the big day. I like to keep the shoot relaxed and fun usually lasting around an hour. The location can be up to you, it can be somewhere special to you both or we could just go crazy and pick somewhere random to have a bit of a day out! I love seeing what couples do with their images, often using them to decorate their wedding reception or use them as a guest signing book or photo signing board.
Engagement shoots are priced at £200 for a one hour session. You will receive around 20-30 edited images in an online gallery ready to download and print.
DO YOU WORK WITH A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?
My packages are me, myself + I on your wedding day. I’m more than comfortable working in this way, however I do offer the option of adding an extra photographer to your coverage for £300. A second photographer is a good option if you are planning a huge wedding with a high number of guests and lots going on, having that extra bod there gives you even more photos of your guests throughout the day. I work closely with some very talented photographers in the Skipton, Yorkshire and Lancashire area who are more than happy to help out on the day if they’re not already booked.

Hell YES I am!! Upto the hilt at £2 million.
DO YOU COVER THE GROOM GETTING READY?
If you are booking just myself for the day I begin with photographing the bridal preparations first and meet the grooms party at the ceremony venue. I usually find this is enough time to capture those all important last minute jitters and ensures the men are not missed. If you would prefer coverage of the groom and his party preparing in the morning let me know and I can arrange a second photographer for your day, or if he’s close by we can schedule time in where possible.
I’M GETTING MARRIED ABROAD. CAN YOU COVER THIS?
Hell yes I can! I am based in North Yorkshire UK, and I love to travel. I’ve already had the opportunity to photograph abroad and loved every minute. More and more couples are choosing to book photographers from home for their weddings abroad, mainly because of the differing styles of photography other countries have to offer. If you are thinking of booking me and my services for your destination wedding but are worried about the costs involved, fear not, I always have a plan up my sleeve. I’ll be in charge of booking my flights and accommodation, you’ll have enough to think about! I’ll arrive a day or two before your wedding, hook up with you guys and head off for good mooch to scout out locations, I’ll bring my camera and grab some shots of you both. You can show me around your venue and introduce me to your favourite people. We can grab a cocktail and get excited about all things wedding! I’ll party the night away with you all…only I’ll be the sober one! I’ll make my way to the airport the day after your wedding and start my editing 🙂
DO YOU TAKE FORMAL GROUP SHOTS?
I’m there to capture all the natural moments of your wedding day, however I appreciate that this is a chance to get everyone together on the one day. So a huge group shot of all your guests will be covered and your all important parent/siblings and bridesmaid/ushers. I recommend up to 10 group shots in total and I would have you designate a person to get these people where we need them to be so we can work through them as speedily as possible so you’re not away from the party for longer than you need to be. This is something we’d discuss in more detail when we meet.
WHAT IF IT’S RAINING ON OUR WEDDING DAY? CAN WE STILL GET PICTURES OUTSIDE?
Of course you can! I’m not afraid of a bit of water or mud – that’s what wellies and umbrellas are for! All my couples are up for heading outdoors and braving the weather. That dress doesn’t get a chance to be worn again!
HOW DO YOU LICENSE YOUR IMAGES AND WHAT HAPPENS WITH IMAGE COPYRIGHT?
Georgina Brewster Photography retain copyright of all images under international copyright laws. You’re free to use the print quality files you receive for any form of personal use including personal printing but commercial use isn’t permitted without prior consent in writing – more details can be found in the contract, please contact me if you’d like a copy.
HOW LONG AFTER OUR WEDDING DO WE RECEIVE OUR IMAGES?
I offer a preview on my Facebook business page and will keep you in the loop on your collection’s progress. I aim to have your full collection ready four weeks after your Wedding Day. It can be a little earlier depending on the time of year but I’ll be sure to keep you updated.
WHAT IS THE VENUE CONSULTATION AND HOW LONG DOES IT USUALLY TAKE?
The Venue Consultation is an opportunity for us to meet in the run-up to the big day. I’ll go with you to your venue and have a look around to scope out possible shot locations if it’s a venue I haven’t previously worked at. I also run through all the timings of your day so I know what’s happening, where and when. It usually takes about an hour but if you’d like longer that’s fine by me.
ARE YOU HAPPY TO WORK ALONGSIDE OTHER PHOTOGRAPHERS AND VIDEOGRAPHERS?
HOW DO YOU EDIT IMAGES?
I take great care to edit each image, keeping them looking as natural as possible whilst enhancing and applying my developed style. All images are edited using professional software to achieve the highest quality.
HOW DO WE ACCESS OUR PRIVATE ONLINE GALLERY?
You can find your private gallery by clicking on the ‘CLIENTS’ link on my website navigation bar. I’ll email you the username and password as soon as your full collection is ready. Private galleries are hosted on my website for 18 months. Images are downloadable directly from here and your guests can also order prints.
HOW DO WE ORDER AN ALBUM OR STORYBOOK AND CAN WE CHOOSE THE PICTURES FOR IT?
Certainly – it’s your album so you get to choose what goes in it. Once you’ve had chance to look through your full collection, it’s as simple as letting me know which product you’d like, if you’re unsure you can get in touch at any time or call into the shop to view the latest samples – I’m here to help! After that I’ll email you details on choosing your images and once you’ve got back to me with your selection I’ll design it and get it ordered for you. There’s more info on albums here.
CAN OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY ORDER PRINTS FROM YOU?
Yes, my online print ordering service offers various print options within your private gallery with a secure checkout processed by Paypal. Anyone with your gallery password can order through this built in system making it more hassle-free for you.
