LEEDS CITY CENTRE WEDDING
MR + MRS NOTLEY
I’m so chuffed to be revisiting Mike + Louise’s Leeds City Centre wedding. After an exhausting house renovation and move, in-between weddings, it means I’m actually sat in my shiny, new, home office with WIFI back up and running, a fresh coffee brewing, relieved to be looking less like a builder/painter/decorator, back to blogging and looking forward to the rest of the wedding season.
Five weeks today at three o’clock this gorgeous pair said ‘I DO’ in the grand setting of Leeds Civic Hall. What a venue! Smack bang in the centre of the City. Millennium Square is a massive open space with a giant screen for football fans to view sports, so the fact that England crashed out of the Euro’s was in our favour as their day clashed with quarter final day with a three o’clock kick-off!
I spent the morning with Louise at the couples home, near Leeds and made the 20 minute journey to the Double Tree Hilton Hotel in Granary Wharf to meet up with Mike and the boys. We walked up to Millennium Square and waited for the Bride. Louise looked utterly stunning in her bespoke, custom-made bridal gown, escorted by her niece, sister and best friend. After a beautiful service Mr + Mrs Notley jumped into the wedding car and headed to their reception, stopping off in various locations for couple shots.
Their chosen reception venue was The Midnight Bell. A local brewery-run gastropub, tucked away behind the Hilton Hotel and a place that holds special memories for Mike + Louise. They lived and worked in the area when they first met and it became their local and on their Wedding Day the sun was shining, guests were treated to a Pimm’s reception and the BBQ was sizzling away in the courtyard…that was…until the rain came and we all had to dive inside!
Mike and Louise. Mr and Mrs Notley. These two are such a loving couple with such a warmth to them. Clearly very much in love, very cool and already five weeks into their married life together.
To Mike + Louise,
Thank you so much for having me by your side on your wedding day. You and your friends and families made me feel like one of your own. Wishing you both all the love and happiness in the world for your future together. I had a great time in the City with you!
Much love G xx
