MR + MRS BERENTZEN
SATURDAY, 22ND OCTOBER 2016
BRINDLE, ST JAMES CHURCH
CHARNOCK FARM, LEYLAND
“You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you.” Jane Austen
Paul + Becky based their literary themed Lancashire wedding around their love for each other and books, with a whole lot of friends and family thrown in for good measure. This pair met at University studying Journalism and have a mutual love for anything theatre and performing arts. Becky and I worked together on a Lancashire newspaper so to be there for them both on their wedding day made it all the more special.
The ceremony was held at St. James’ Church in Brindle with a chimney sweep popping up in the churchyard afterwards to congratulate them both. Seeing a chimney sweep on your wedding day is still a lucky omen in Lancashire, this 200 year old timeless tradition is said to bring ‘Good Luck, Fertility & Fortune’ for newly married couples, so watch this space!! Through the confetti shower and they were on to the reception venue just a short drive away at Charnock Farm in Leyland.
This was a day filled with warmth, love and laughter. Tables were piled high with hand-covered books, seasonal flowers and romantic quotes from their favourite love stories. Becky and Paul are so affectionate as a couple and that affection really spills out to everyone they meet.
To Mr + Mrs Berentzen…here’s to your future together!! Happy New Year to you, your friends and family. Especially to your Mum, she’s just lovely! xx
