Mr and Mrs Roy. The Devonshire Fell Hotel, Burnsall. Saturday 5th December 2015
‘A picture tells a thousand words’ and you can clearly see, from this wedding collection, that it was non stop smiles all day. The gale force winds and rain did not dampen this wedding party and the Bride even donned her wellies to head for the outdoors, she was determined to have a photo on that bridge and what a cracking shot she has now for her bravery!
The registrar made it through the floods and as we looked out on the River Wharfe flooding the village of Burnsall, Elizabeth and Nick became Mr + Mr Roy! We braved the storms for a Bridal Party group shot before retreating back inside to the warmth and to throw some confetti, a first indoors confetti shot for me, but it was a request from the couple and it really was wild outside, so apologies to the staff at The Devonshire Fell for the mess.
The Fell really does have a great feel to it. Weddings there feel very relaxed and almost like you have your very own country mansion. Perched up on the hillside with views that stretch over the River Wharfe and across the fells. No danger of flooding up there and a very lavish affair!
Lizi and Nick really enjoyed their day. They are great fun to be around and such lovely, genuine people. Lizi is a keen horse rider, as am I, and would’ve loved for her horse to be on the wedding photos. We’ve already made plans to book in a date for a shoot with her equine friend. It’s an opportunity to step back into the dress too!
Its been a whirlwind and one which I will never forget. All the best for your future together as a family and I’m already looking forward to our next shoot in warmer weather 🙂
